Being a scientist is one of the most rewarding careers. You will work on solutions to problems with real world application and impact. Unfortunately, being a scientist comes with more rejection than most other professions. You will experience rejection of your ideas, your proposals or tenders, your journal articles and conference papers and job applications…just to name a few. But you do have the ability to learn from rejection, because that is what scientist do – learn from mistakes and failures to do better science!
